New Direction: X-BA Marduk

Description

I'm taking Anno Peractio [link] in a new direction.

I didn't like where the story was going with Marduk and the others being giant robots. I found myself limited in regards to character interaction and even more-so when it came to injury realism; The pilot is in no real danger most of the time unless the mech is destroyed--it gets boring real quick, me thinks. (actually, it did kill my motivation for quite awhile)

So recently I decided to give AP a much-needed overhaul; the giant robots are now man-sized powered armor. This opened up so many story possibilities; I'm having some pretty good ideas already.

The image above is a quick prototype of what the new Marduk would look like; bulkier and more human-proportioned. I've also dropped the "SuperFrame" designation in favor of something more original.

Thoughts and comments are much appreciated.
(I'd especially like to hear from some of my old followers... Front and center--You know who you are)

EDIT: Retouched to match Gilgamesh's darker render.

What I like most about the character are the head, the arms and the blade. the power - light strips on the armor is always a good thing.

The head gives it a stealthy look along with the basic overall form, and the blade looks pretty deadly, constructed for a swift end for organic beings. I have not seen ZoE mechs in action, but the legs give the impression of swift movement along city terrain.

Although it is man-sized, I would have to agree on the similarity to ZoE mechs, you may want to try a different approach, maybe you can check out the optimus-prime gundam, if you've seen it.

The overall form is eye-catching and very interesting and brings curiosity as to what situations the pilot / character wearing the suit will be in and what events will unfold.
