So I was sitting on my desk braving the interblag when I started hearing a faint but very 'watery' sound. I didn't give it much thought at first, but then my left foot started feeling all wet... I was bleeding; it was all over the carpet like some horror movie.
Of course, common sense dictates that I go ahead and scream, followed closely by a tantrum about mortality and such. However, my reaction was far simpler:

"Darn."

I somehow ruptured a varicose vein in my ankle. Nothing serious, but I had to go to our hospital to get it patched up before I bleed to death. Now that doesn't usually happen, but mine was rather huge, which can be a problem healing-wise.

The fun part? I got a sick leave
I have to wear compressive stockings and rest with my leg raised up for a couple of days before the guys at vascular surgery could decide if I would need an operation or not.
In the mean time, let's recap on what I've been doing:

- Modo. is. AWESOME! While it's lacking in many areas, the modeling tools and renderer are head and shoulders above C4D's. Sure, it doesn't have some of C4D's gems I like to use like Shape Splines and Sweep NURBS but with such an intuitive and simple pipeline you really don't need a LOT of those features. Can't wait for Modo 401!

- Despite of all that, I barely have time to sit down and actually model something. Remember this? It's been nearly 2 months since I started working on it and all I've accomplished was this and this. Makes you wanna cry, eh?

- I was on this month's speedmodeling contest the other day on 's channel. I made this. I didn't win (stupid time limit ) but the design felt a bit too cool to throw away and ended up with this. So, who else got an early 80s sci-fi vibe

- And just to tie things up at the end, I've scrapped all my previous C4D projects. I'm going to focus on Modo in the upcoming period and importing stuff from C4D to Modo is a bitch. So that's that.
